Torre del Lago and Surroundings
Nestled between the lake, the sea and the pine grove, Torre del Lago is a small town where Giacomo Puccini once lived, composed and is still buried. Over the years, the festival dedicated to him has become an important international lyrical event. The Sea of Versilia
The beach of the Versilia Riviera has always been renowned throughout Europe, due to the wide spaces it offers with fine golden sand, and long areas for relaxing walks along the coast. The Lake of Massaciuccoli and the San Rossore Natural Park
on the shores of Lake Massaciuccoli Maestro Giacomo Puccini practiced fishing and hunting. On the opposite bank of Torre del lago, the Lipu oasis of Massaciuccoli Lake has been created. It is a protected area of 47 hectares created to protect the rare species that live in this lake environment: a true paradise for nature lovers, who can take a walk on the wooden trellises, built right on the water, leading to little houses perfectly camouflaged with the environment, where you can hear the sounds of the lake and watch the birds, L’oasi Lipu is part of the Migliarino – San park Rossore – Massaciuccoli: a mosaic of very different environments and intact where they alternate sand dunes, large and green pine forests, swamps, lush forests and fragrant Mediterranean scrub.
The Tenuta di San Rossore is the heart of the park and the largest pine forest in Europe: once it was owned by the President of the Republic and here you can still admire the Presidential Villa of the Gombo.
The Park can be visited with free or guided excursions, even for the little ones, not only on foot but also by bike, on board a buggy, with an ecological train and with the boat.

Numerous events follow one another especially during the summer season, but also during the rest of the year there are several very important events and manifestations.
The Puccini Festival is a summer music festival held in Torre del Lago, where Giacomo Puccini lived for over thirty years, composing many of his masterpieces.

The Surroundings
CASA LE MORELLINE is an excellent starting point to visit some of the most beautiful art cities in the world. Florence, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered a place of origin of the Renaissance considered to be the cradle of art and architecture thanks to its numerous monuments and museums. Siena, universally known for its huge historical, artistic, scenic heritage as well as for the famous Palio. In 1995 its historic center was included by UNESCO in the World Heritage.
